The Willie Wagtail is also known as the black and white fantail. It is often seen flying short distances at low levels (while preying for small insects) or perched while turning from side to side with its tail in the air (while resting).

The wagtail will expand its white eyebrow to threaten another during breeding season or in a territorial dispute. Usually, one of the two will end up signalling submission by shrinking its eyebrow until it is no longer visible.
