Beautiful Coast in Sydney, Australia

Sydney has some of the most spectacular coast and beaches of the worlds major cities. With lots of sunshine, warm weather, clear water (don't believe the rumours about Bondi cigars) and beautiful seaside cliffs, there is no wonder why the coast is a central part of Sydney life. Sydney also boasts arguably the most beautiful harbour in the world.

Some tourists make the mistake of not visiting the Sydney beaches since they plan to do their beach time in the great barrier reef region. This is undoubtedly a mistake. The beaches in Sydney are some of the best on the mainland (although Perth residents would disagree)!

SOUTHERN BEACHES -- COASTAL WALK

One of Sydney's best walks is the coastal walk from Bondi down to Coogee. Starting at Bondi and heading south, one goes by (in order) Tamarama beach, Bronte beach, the Waverly Cemetery (which is much neater than it sounds), Clovelly Bay, Gordons bay, and then Coogee. All of these locations have their own special vistas -- no single place is better than the others. Although the coastal walk ends at Coogee, there are still more great beaches further south: Maroubra, Long Bay, Little Bay, and La Perouse.
